Turkish Day parade events will be held in New York on May 17-18, under the coordination of the Türkiye's Directorate of Communications.

This year's parade, marking the 41st anniversary, aims at bolstering cultural bonds and celebrating Turkish-American relations.

The parade commenced in 1981 in response to the targeted attacks on Turkish diplomats by the Armenian terrorist group ASALA and has since become a tradition.

Kicking off with a flag-raising ceremony at Wall Street-Bowling Green Park on May 17, the parade aims to foster unity within the Turkish-American community while reinforcing economic and cultural ties between nations.

The event will also feature a panel discussion on strengthening cultural ties and a new vision for Turkish-American relations at the Turkish House in New York City. It will bring together scholars and civil society representatives to delve into the cultural dimension of bilateral relations.

An exhibition titled Century of Türkiye at the Turkish House will present Türkiye's achievements in the last 100 years with three-dimensional shows.

Accompanied by children's activities and games, the parade will wind through New York's Madison Avenue and 38th Street, culminating at Madison Square Park.

Within the scope of the Turkish Day parade, which is attended by thousands of people every year and has become one of the most important events of the Turkish-American community in the US, artists will give concerts and various shows will meet with the audience.
